Meet the visionary behind New Hope Homes, 

Chantal Mbanda

Chantal, a mighty woman of faith,  is the Founder and Director of New Hope Homes. 

She and her husband Bishop Laurent Mbanda returned to their homeland of Rwanda in November of 2005. Chantal saw all the kids living on the street and wanted to make a difference. Her vision was to create real homes for Orphaned and Abandoned kids.  She initially paired 10 orphaned and abandoned kids with a Widow to be their Mom. She added two young ladies to be Aunties. The family was then  supported  with a cook and night watchman to complete the  family.  

We are not an orphanage, we are a home. 

Chantal is passionate about ensuring people understand we are family.

We currently have 28 kids.

Donna "Rwanda Donna" Wiederkehr met Chantal the month after her first home opened in March -2006 and has been constant a partner since then visiting Chantal and the kids of New Hope Homes three times per year.
